A weekend in Washington D.C
May 7, 2015
Hey ooooh! Sorry it has been a minute since I got caught up on here. We recently said bye bye Caymans and headed back to Utah! But now without a pit stop in Washington D.C first! Our friends are living there for the summer and so we decided it was the perfect opportunity to visit them and get another little trip in.
We arrived Saturday night and hung out and grabbed some taco bell ( don’t judge us… we missed it LOL) and than rested up for the next day of adventuring.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY CLINTYYYY!!! We celebrated Clints 24th birthday in the beautiful land of D.C.
Our first item on the agenda was to do a boat ride around the Potomac River. Can you say AWESOME??? It was beautiful weather and we just enjoyed seeing the monument and learning a little more history from a different view. I highly recommend doing it.

Next item was to explore the National Mall (no this is not a giant mall LOL it is a national park in downtown D.C.) We explored the Lincoln monument, reflecting pool and the Washington monument. Of course we enjoyed some over priced food from street vendors because did you even D.C if you don’t? It started to get a little rainy so we ran to see the White house and than went to grab some birthday dinner. Overall it was a great day exploring D.C and we couldn’t of been happier!
The next day we decided to hit up the museums because they are FREE! Man this place is the bomb.com! We went to the natural history museum and saw anything and everything! My favorite part is the giant woolly mammoth in the main entryway. Once we were done there, we walked over to the capital and spent some time hanging out in that area. I wish we could have spent weeks here just exploring all of the history and culture that makes up this place. It is truly amazing. There is nothing like living out of the country to make you appreciate where you are from. I love this country!
Overall we had the most wonderful time in D.C! Clint made a short highlight video, feel free to watch it and enjoy! Thanks for following along.
