10 Affordable Places to Travel in 2018
February 4, 2018
Okay friends! I know that we are all itching to travel this new year, so I decided to put together a little list of 10 places that you may want to go! All of them are reasonably affordable and have so much to offer! So keep scrolling and start your planning.
1. Jamaica: It’s luxury with a mix of affordability. The island features clean beaches, new hotel rooms and affordable resorts. The all inclusive deals are amazing, so keep your eyes out for a good deal before booking your vacation there. But a little tip is make sure to avoid hurricane season, July and August because no one wants to be there during that!
2. Bangladesh: Here in Bangladesh, you can buy meals for under a dollar and enjoy beautiful river cruises for rates much lower than what you would spend nearby in India. With the exchange rate, you will be able to stretch your travel budget very far. Enjoy some tigers in the Sunderbans National Park or sail by the river dolphins. But don’t stay longer than 15 days or else you will have to pay for a visa which can get pricey!
3. Uganda: Uganda is known as “The Pearl of Africa” and is home to Lake Victoria. Although the official language is Swahili, english is widely spoken. While you visit this picturesque destination, enjoy rafting on the Nile River and bungee jumping, all at a very affordable price!
4. Hungary: Say hello to the gorgeous city of Budapest! Where your meals are$5, public transportation via train is $1 and hotels are $20 a night. You get a mix of 14th century architecture and modernization. It sounds pretty perfect to me!
5. Guatemala: The beauty of Guatemala has a rich natural ecosystem, from rivers to rain forests to exotic wildlife, it never stops and we don’t want it to. Not to mention all of the Mayan ruins! With lunches ranging from $1-3 a plate, you are sure to have some amazing deals. Grab yourself a cheap flight and book that AirBNB in the treehouse and you are ready to go.
6. Thailand: Of course I have talked your ear off already about this amazing country but let’s do a little recap on it. Pristine beaches, cheap exotic food and night markets galore. This country has so much to offer for such an incredible price! We will definitely be heading back here as soon as we can because the country has so much to offer.
7. Peru: Don’t be discouraged by the price of Machu Picchu, Peru is actually very affordable. Lunches can cost as low as $2 and hostels range from $8-10. Public transportation is very affordable but make sure to try and get a good deal on the flight because that will cost you the most.
8. Dominican Republic: From luxury resorts to affordable hostels, this country has something for every type of traveler. It has sun, safety and affordability! What else could you want? Oh yeah, pina coladas, but they have those too.
9. Spain: I have seen so many good deals for flights here that I have been tempted to just book it without knowing anything else! But after looking more into the country, it looks like it would be more affordable than I thought. It offers some of the best museums, architecture and beaches. Although the food may be more pricey than other countries, if you budget you should be able to have an enjoyable time! Just check out that view and book the flight now ( all of the heart eye emojis).
10. China: So many things to do here but never enough time! The country is so large that you really have to plan where you want to go and what you want to see. With amazing sites like the Great Wall of China, The Terracotta Warriors and more, it’s impossible to not have a good time. The food is incredibly inexpensive and the night markets have the best shopping out there! Now you may think that the flight will be pricey but you are wrong, we got a roundtrip ticket to Beijing for $500 a person! That is cheaper than Hawaii! Get ready to eat some dumplings and egg rolls because China is the place to be.
Well there ya go! I hope that this post makes you want to hop on a plane and make some new memories! The time is now! If you want to have one of my favorite quotes, I made this cute photo below! I love to make it my wallpaper to remind me why I travel. Thanks again for reading,
