Goodbye Hong Kong
December 8, 2016
The time has come for us to say goodbye to the beautiful city of Hong Kong. The endless mazes of markets and shops that fill the streets. The sea and mountains can be found just a few subway stops away making it a beachy paradise. There are lush forests, green trees and the magical China Sea. It is enchanting, mysterious and magical. This place is where dreams are made and the hustle and bustle helps create those dreams. Below is the video that Clint made of our time here! He did such a great job on it so CHECK IT OUTTTT! After you watch it, enjoy a list of our top 10 favorite things to do in Hong Kong! XOXO
Some of our top 10 things to do in Hong Kong:
- Hong Kong Disney- short lines, amazing rides and the Disney spirit! What more could you ask for?
- Museums- every Wednesday museum entry is FREE! So enjoy the endless museums you can go to free of charge.
- Victoria Harbor- whether you go during the day or wait until the lights show at night, the view is breath taking. We enjoyed every moment of staring in awe at the skyline.
- Victoria peak- now if you want a challenge or love physical activity, take the hike to the top because it is beautiful and rewarding. If those do not sound like your cup of tea you can take the tram or a taxi! Either way the view of the city from the top is worth every moment.
- Ladies & Goldfish Market- an endless array of clothing, food, jewelry, animals and fish makes up these markets. They have something that everyone will love and it is so fun to walk around and enjoy the puppies.
- Hong Kong LDS temple- of course we loved seeing the LDS temple and enjoying meeting the missionaries that we around it. It was stunning and so cool to see a temple in different countries.
- Tian Tan Buddha & Tram- you have to take the tram ride up the mountain to see the glorious Buddha on the hill. You get to see amazing views from the tram and you feel so peaceful being that high up in the sky. Like I said in my post about it, get the land- sea- sky pass for endless fun!
- Chi Lin Nunnery- this place in itself is worth the time to go there but the beautiful garden that is next to it makes it all the better. I could spend hours just soaking in the gorgeous high rises and colorful gardens.
- Ding Dings- RIDE THEM ALL AROUND! It is only $3 no matter how long you stay on them and you get to see the COOLEST views of the city. They go slower which makes it perfect for taking photos of the sky rises and letting you bask in the city lights.
- Water shed- you get to see a different side of the island here. No more hustle and bustle, it is calm and you get to see the ocean in a different way. The water shed is perfect for picture taking and if you want to get some cool shots go when the sun is setting.
